Rockumentary Britannia

A selection of short music documentaries highlighting the current creative surge in the UK music scene.

A selection of short music docs featured at the last two Halloween Short Film Festivals plus some new gems, including: A grass roots look at The Libertines and Pete Doherty’s infamous Teesdale Road E2 house parties; Hip hop collective UNKLE; Indie superstars Kasabian filming a music video in Eastern Europe; East London anarchist art-punk Selfish C*nt; The New Cross indie explosion (featuring bands such as Bloc Party and Art Brut); Hackney’s burgeoning grime scene; and a short look the Eel Pie Island party scene headed by The Mystery Jets. A varied selection, but one that showcases the exciting musical times that we live in.
