Portobello Film Festival 2013
28 August - 15 September

It's another FREE feast for independent film lovers – the 18th Portobello Film Festival. And this year it comes with a generous helping of art at the Louise T Blouin Gallery from Wednesday 28 August to Sunday 1 September.
Wednesday 28th August, Festival opening night at Louise T Blouin, includes the world premiere of Anarchist, Phil Strongman's Malcolm McLaren situationist biopic, featuring the Sex Pistols, Vivienne Westwood, Tracy Emin and McLaren himself.

Alternative London Film Festival
at the Portobello Pop Up Cinema

And here's another treat for indie film buffs – the Alternative London Film Festival section of the Portobello Film Festival. All films are showing at the Portobello Pop Up Cinema and the Grand Opening Ceremony (FREE ENTRY) is at 6pm on Thursday 29 August. Featured film that night is The Promoter, directed by Ed Edwards and produced by Sam Edwards.

Shows run every night except Mondays from Thursday 29 August to Sunday 15 September from 6pm to 10.30pm. Entry to all shows is free.

The Portobello Pop Up, set in a bay under the Westway Flyover, is Britain's most unusual cinema. There's a relaxed club atmosphere there with a bar and food, and plenty of room to meet the London independent film scene's movers and shakers, or just chill with your mates.
