Film Festival 2nd London Film Makers Convention

The second London Film Makers Convention in December
(7 - 20th at Westbourne Studios, W10, & Inn On The
Green, W10) is where all London film makers from top
independent production houses to DIY Tim Burtons can
show their latest work hot off the edit suite to each
other and the general public, register as delegates
and attend free masterclasses, Q&As and seminars,
and meet up and plot the future of the British film
industry.
Like all Portobello Film Festival events the London
Film Makers Convention is free admission. To ensure
a good seat get there early.
Menhaj “Kidulthood” Huda and Courttia Newland
will present a panel discussion on director/writer synergy,
Filmmakers Against The War will give a masterclass/seminar
on internet distribution, Apple UK will demonstrate
and take questions on Final Cut Pro, Johnny Oddball
will discuss making A Film in 24 Hours using digital
cameras and editing equipment, Nick Marq will talk on
his experiences of street movie making and screen his
new version of Oliver Twist, and the directors cut of
his Award winning The Real Notting Hill.
The focus of all the presentations will be low budget,
high quality film making using digital technology.
Film Highlights include Nick Broomfield’s Still
Human, Still Here from Amnesty International, Tricky
from Massive Attack’s Trip Hop musical Brown Punk,
UK premiere of Creating Karma, The Feral Generation
from the producer of Kidulthood, Broken featuring Michelle
Collins and premieres of over 80 new films and introductions
by London Film Makers and screenings of some of the
best London movies from the 2007 Portobello Film Festival.
Participants will be able to register as Delegates for
extra events and Q&As and added to our email list
of over 1000 members.
